METHODOLOGY TO TEACH THE ENGLISH-LANGUAGE PROFESSIONAL TERMINOLOGY TO NON-LINGUISTIC STUDENTS

Abstract. Globalization of world economy and internationalization of higher education set new requirements for technical students’ training, but graduates’ foreign-language competence still does not satisfy the demands of the labour market. The article proposes the author’s original methodology to teach the English-language professional terminology on the basis of the interdisciplinary approach, project-based and student-centred methods to master’s degree students of technical specialities. For the first time, the paper proposes the methodology, which includes identifying the peculiarities of master’s degree students’ highly professional activity and its interrelation with the discipline "Foreign Language" determining the optimal sequence of educational material presentation. Under such an approach, educational process is focused on the student’s needs and includes project-based autonomous activity.
