Multilevel Approach to Professionally Oriented Foreign Language Teaching at Non-Linguistic Higher School

Abstract. The paper justifies the necessity to introduce integrated thematically organized textbooks and proves efficiency of the synthetic multilevel and competence-based approach to foreign language teaching at non-linguistic higher school. The article examines problems of organizing professionally oriented foreign language teaching on the basis of the multilevel approach. Scientific originality of the study includes development and approbation of the methodology based on the synthesis of multilevel and competence-based approaches to teaching professional foreign language taking into account not only the academic aspect, but also psychologically comfortable educational environment. The obtained results indicate that the methodology based on the synthesis of multilevel and competence-based approaches to teaching professional English language to non-linguistic students significantly saves time and intensifies processes such as perception, assimilation and motivation.
