SOCIAL POLICY OF MARGARET THATCHERS CONSERVATIVE GOVERNMENT (THE 1980S)

Abstract. The article examines social policy of Margaret Thatchers conservative government in the 1980s. The paper analyses the changes in the national health care system, educational system, social insurance system, describes the outcomes of the conservative governments social policy determined by objective tendencies of the British society development. The author concludes that realization of Margaret Thatchers Cabinet programme purposes was accompanied with problems, which contributed to the crisis of the governments policy.
