Contribution of the Muslim Entrepreneurs to the Development of National Educational System in the Second Half of the XIX - at the Beginning of the XX Century

Abstract. The article analyses the activity of the Cis-Ural region Tatar entrepreneurs to support and develop the Muslim educational system in the post-reform period. The authors identify the basic trends of evolution of consciousness of the Turkic-Muslim business circles’ representatives under the influence of Jadidism ideology; describe the mechanism of their interrelations with the power bodies. Available information allows concluding that the merchants, gradually transforming into the bourgeoisie, participated actively in the social modernization process, which unfolded in the Tatar society in the second half of the XIX - at the beginning of the XX century.
