ON THE ISSUE OF IMPROVING THE SYSTEM OF STUDENTS’ KNOWLEDGE ASSESSMENT

Abstract. The article considers the issue of improving the system of students’ knowledge assessment. The characteristic of the existing approach to this problem at higher school is given. According to the author, shortcomings of the current control system can be minimized by implementing a rating system that includes non-traditional methods of knowledge assessment. The proposed system takes into account experience of teaching technical disciplines of many years and aims to improve quality of education and a student’s motivation for independent and research work.
