VERBAL INSUFFICIENCY WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF INTERPRETATIONALISM

Abstract. The author considers the translation problems of verbal insufficiency under the conditions of bilingual communication (by the material of the German and Russian languages) that are not comprehensively covered in literature on translation, proves the advantage of interpretive translation over transformation approach, and reveals the basic techniques of insufficiency transfer and the effect of translation universals (normalization, simplification and explicitation).
