ON THE CRITERIA OF RELIABILITY OF VALEOLOGICAL RUMORS

Abstract. In the article the author discusses the reliability of valeological rumors, specifies their typology on the basis of the criterion of reliability, and suggests the systematization of sources of information about health in the communication space. It is ascertained that the rumors of health are different in their degree of reliability which depends primarily on the reputation of the source of information, as well as on the frequency of references to this source, on the understanding of independence or involvement of the source and the opportunity to provide feedback to it.
