CONTEXT AS A FOUNDATIONAL CATEGORY IN THE PHILOSOPHY OF LANGUAGE

Abstract. In the philosophy of language a context is a foundational category. The use of this category to the language facts and phenomena conditions the consideration of the linguistic personality in the aggregate of its characteristics and features. In the article such methodologically significant phenomena forming external and internal contexts of the linguistic personality as phenomena of the language, culture and linguistic worldview are analyzed. The author emphasizes that the context enriches the subject-problem field of the linguistic personality cognition, and broadens the horizons of its interaction with the world.
