DIRECTIONS AND TASKS OF METATHEORY OF TRANSLATION (METATRANSLATION STUDIES)

Abstract. This article attempts to determine and represent systematically the main directions and tasks of the metatheory of translation. This work identifies and analyzes nine major areas specific to Translation Studies as a scientific discipline. For each of the directions a comment is represented, the task of which is to specify the content and point out the issues that require attention and development. Attention is paid to some unsolved problems, typical, in particular, of the domestic science of translation.
