ON THE SECONDARINESS OF THE TEXT OF AUTHOR’S TRANSLATION (BY THE EXAMPLE OF THE CONATIVE FUNCTION REALIZATION IN V. V. NABOKOV’S AUTHOR’S TRANSLATIONS)

Dymant Yuliya Aleksandrovna

Abstract. The article considers the problem of the secondariness of the author’s translations texts. By the example of the conative function realization in the texts of Nabokov’s author’s translations it is shown that, despite the modifications both in terms of content and language arrangement, the author’s translation is a secondary text, because it preserves the communicative impact of the original (conative function), and changes introduced by the author are caused by the change of such components of the communicative situation as a code and an addressee.
Key words and phrases: перевод, первичные и вторичные тексты, автоперевод, функции языка, конативная функция, модель Р. О. Якобсона, В. В. Набоков, translation, primary and secondary texts, author’s translation, language functions, conative function, R. Jakobson’s model, V. V. Nabokov
