Terminological Polyonymy as Manifestation of Linguo-Cultural Specificity of the German Preschool Education Terminology

Abstract. The article examines the terminological system of the German preschool education in the linguo-culturological aspect. The research objective includes identifying linguo-cultural specificity of the German preschool education terminology. Scientific originality of the study lies in the fact that these terminological units are for the first time analysed taking into account diatopic (regional) specificity of the German language, which broadens understanding of the German-language sectoral terminologies and allows revealing national peculiarities of the German education terminology. The findings indicate that linguo-cultural specificity of the German preschool education terminology basically manifests itself through terminological polyonymy.
