Gender Representation of Dream Motive in the Russian and Foreign Women’s Prose

Abstract. Relevance of the study involves the functional comparative analysis of universal content of the Russian and foreign literary works. The research objective includes identifying the text-formative role of gender representation of the dream motive in novels’ poetics. The paper aims to examine the latest tendencies of the global literary process. Heroines’ gender motivation is considered through the lenses of the Russian, West European and Eastern cultures. Originality of the research lies in the correlation analysis of literary texts of different styles and epochs.
