"Keep Silence to Poetry": "Silence" in M. S. Petrovykh’s Life and Creative Work

Abstract. The motive and image of silence in M. S. Petrovykh’s lyrics are associated with her poetic worldview, her understanding of creative genius and social reality. "Silence" image is a leitmotif of her poetry, this image develops the lyrical story of the conceptual poem "One Thing I Want to Say to Poets...", which reveals the author’s conception of creative and everyday behaviour. The paper describes M. Petrovykh’s biographical experience represented in her poetry, analyses the lexico-semantic level of the poems containing the image and motive of silence.
