Mysterial World of A. Tarkovsky’s Poem "I Am a Shade among Those Shades..."

Abstract. The article examines mysterial principles of description in A. Tarkovsky’s poem "I Am a Shade among Those Shades…". Tarkovsky’s poetical work is for the first time analysed in such an aspect, and this fact determines relevance and scientific originality of the paper. It is noted that the system of mythological and symbolic images and motives, dynamics of the hero’s consciousness formation, specificity of the chronotope correlate with mysterial poetics. The researchers show that the text artistic paradigm at all the levels of its poetical structure is organized according to the logic of mysterial world vision. Contrary to ancient mysteries where path completion is accentuated, Tarkovsky’s poem emphasizes Path itself as a state of continuous dialogue with Truth and Existence.
