Semantic Formation of Culturally Specific Units in the Terminological System of the British School Education

Abstract. The article examines peculiarities of the semantic term formation in the terminological system of the British school education. The paper focuses on studying culturally specific terminological units. The author justifies relevance of studying semantic term-formative methods within the framework of the conception of the cultural component of the term meaning. Historical and etymological, definitional and lexico-semantic analysis methods are applied to reveal specificity of the semantic term formation in the sphere of the British school education.
