Linguo-Methodological Approach to Problem of Overcoming Phonetic Difficulties That the Chinese Students Face when Studying the Russian Language

Abstract. The article examines typical difficulties experienced by the Chinese students while adopting the Russian phonetics. Relying on the experiment results and pedagogical observations, the author identifies permanent phonetic difficulties at all the stages of educational process, analyses their causes. Examples of communicatively relevant phonetic mistakes are provided. Possible ways to overcome phonetic difficulties of the Chinese students are analysed. The paper proposes techniques to enhance students’ motivation when pronouncing difficult Russian sounds.
