Abstract. The paper aims to describe evaluative strategies and tactics used by Instagram users when discussing Victory Day. Scientific originality of the study lies in the fact that the author for the first time examines communicative strategies and tactics peculiar for Instagram users, introduces new factual material, analyzes Instagram comments through the prism of linguo-pragmatic approach, which allows identifying connotation (basically negative). The findings allow concluding that when discussing Victory Day Instagram users use the following strategies and tactics: cooperative strategies (partial approval tactics), discreditation strategies (tactics: mockery, conscious diminution of authority, irony, creating the image of "wrong" holiday).
