Methodology of Using Grammar Exercises When Teaching the Russian Grammar to Foreign Students

Abstract. The paper reveals the role of grammar exercises in teaching the Russian language, in particular, the Russian case system, to foreign students at the preparatory faculty of non-linguistic higher school. The article examines the grammar exercises used when teaching the Russian case system. Scientific originality of the study involves developing methodology of using grammar exercises when teaching the Russian grammar to foreign students at the preparatory faculty of non-linguistic higher school. The findings allow concluding that grammar exercises help foreign students to acquire and consolidate the Russian grammar skills; promote formation of their linguistic and oral competence.
