Cognitive-Pragmatic Features of Personal Deictic Units in the Modern English-Language Blogosphere Discourse

Abstract. The paper aims to reveal specificity of personal deictics functioning in the English language taking into account the cognitive-pragmatic aspect. The article describes types of contextually determined deictic references by the example of the modern English-language blogosphere discourse. Scientific originality of the study involves a comprehensive analysis of personal deictics used in personally oriented communication within the blogosphere. As a result, it is proved that in the blogosphere, discourse personal deictic units represent the communicative models performing the function of cognitive-pragmatic variables.
