Formation of Ecological Consciousness as the Basis for Ecological Worldview (by the Example of the Ecological Discourse of Germany)

Abstract. The research aims to shed light on features peculiar to the process of ecological consciousness formation in German citizens. The paper pays special attention to factors and means of ecological consciousness formation in various types of ecological discourse and also shows how Germans’ ecological consciousness participates in the formation of the ecological worldview of German-speaking society. Scientific novelty lies in taking an interdisciplinary approach to the consideration of the issue of ecological consciousness formation on the basis of studies by Russian and foreign philosophers, psychologists and linguists. As a result of the research, the author has characterised the main directions in ecological consciousness formation in German citizens and identified the pragmatic function of the main types of ecological discourse.
