German Neologisms during the SARS-CoV-2 Coronavirus Pandemic

Abstract. The aim of the study is to determine the structural and semantic features of neologisms in the German language during the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus pandemic. The scientific originality of the research lies in the identification of the most productive word-formation elements of this period and the semantic (paradigmatic) relations between the lexemes that have appeared. As a result, the criteria of neologisms and the sources of their appearance in the German language were established; the most productive word-formation components and the features of synonymy in this vocabulary group were determined.
