Developing Creative Competence of a Future Teacher of Foreign Languages on the Basis of Special Exercises

Abstract. The purpose of the study is to work out special exercises for developing creative competence in future teachers of foreign languages. The article substantiates the necessity of developing creative competence in future teachers, analyses this notion and offers exercises in a foreign language. Scientific novelty of the research lies in specifying the notion "creative competence of a foreign language teacher", identifying the conditions under which creative competence is formed at a pedagogical university, working out exercises in a foreign language to develop creative competence in the students pursuing a degree in "Pedagogical Education". As a result of the study, special exercises in a foreign language are worked out, which make it possible not only to form foreign-language communicative competence but also to propel the development of creative competence in future teachers of foreign languages.
