Abstract. The research objectives are as follows: to explore possibility of introducing professionally oriented tasks in mathematical education of 7th-9th-grade pupils, to evaluate efficiency of these tasks from the viewpoint of pupils’ professional self-determination. The paper proposes a system of tasks and discusses possibility of their usage at Math lessons for 7th-9th-grade pupils. Professionally oriented tasks are considered as an efficient means to raise education quality, to improve learners’ motivation, to stimulate their cognitive activity. The results of learners’ survey on influence of professionally oriented teaching on career choice are provided.
