Modelling Practical Training of Pedagogical Students against Backdrop of School-University Partnership

Abstract. The study aims to reveal peculiarities of designing and implementing practical training programmes for future teachers. The article shows systemic transformation of the practical side of teachers’ professional education accounted for by transition to the competence-based format of education and network interaction of organisations of higher and general education. Scientific novelty of the research lies in developing a structural and functional model of practical training of pedagogical students - Master’s degree seekers. As a result, the study has outlined conceptual foundations of modelling practical training of future teachers; identified and described blocks of the practical training model (methodological, target-oriented and substantive), as well as stages of practical training (educational-introductory, quasi-professional, educational-professional, pre-professional), revealed their content, provided rationale for their implementation forms. It is shown that development of future teachers’ professional self-awareness occurs in the process of practical training, which combines their educational, research and work-placement activities.
