Formation of Communicative Reflection Skills in the Process of Teaching English in Grade 6 of the Secondary School

Abstract. The aim of the study is to prove that the discipline “Foreign Language” has a significant potential for the formation of students’ communicative reflection skills. The paper analyses and substantiates the possibilities of the discipline “Foreign Language” for the formation of communicative reflection skills, describes some techniques for the formation of communicative reflection skills in English classes in grade 6. Scientific novelty of the study lies in clarifying the research vocabulary for the process of forming students’ communicative reflection skills in the secondary school. As a result, the effectiveness of using techniques for the formation of communicative reflection skills in English classes in grade 6 of the secondary school in the context of the Federal State Educational Standard has been theoretically substantiated and experimentally proven.
