Development of Foreign Language Listening Skills in Younger Schoolchildren Using Internet Resources

Abstract. The study aims to provide a theoretical substantiation for the possibility of developing foreign language listening skills in 4th form students using Internet resources. The paper considers the specifics of teaching listening in foreign language classes at primary school, describes the conditions for the effective use of Internet resources in foreign language teaching at primary school. Scientific novelty of the study lies in determining the criteria for selecting materials on the Internet to use in foreign language classes at an early stage of learning, as well as in elaborating the content of the stages of work on the development of listening skills using Internet resources in foreign language classes at primary school. As a result of the study, the researchers have created a set of exercises based on English-language material that contributes to the development of listening skills in younger schoolchildren using Internet resources.
