Virtual Reality and Innovative Educational Environment

Abstract. The article discusses the problems associated with introduction and implementation of modern innovative methodologies in the process of teaching the humanities at higher school. Scientific originality of the study lies in the fact that the author proposes theoretical models to develop the sphere of education where there is an increasing tendency towards integration of scientific disciplines, modules. The research findings are as follows: the author proves that virtual educational environment encompasses virtual labs (workshops), lecture spaces, virtual models and network educational institutions.
