Author’s Strategy of Semantic Broadening in M. I. Tsvetaeva’s Poem "The Ratcatcher"

Abstract. By the material of M. I. Tsvetaeva’s poem "The Ratcatcher", the paper examines the author’s strategy of broadening the original text semantics. The researchers tackle the following issues: narrative technique of epic material presentation, mechanism to deepen the poem’s ideological and meaningful content, genre and story transformations, specificity of expressing the author’s artistic and esthetical worldview through the reinterpreted main character’s image and music image. Relying on new methodological approaches to studying the poet’s creative work, the researchers identify the technique of self-representation of different strategies - dialogism, narration, world perception, world improvement, etc. It’s a cardinally new approach to analysing M. I. Tsvetaeva’s lyrical heritage.
