Speech Usage of the German Communicative Phrasemes of Speech Etiquette Sphere

Abstract. The article examines the German communicative phrasemes of speech etiquette sphere from the viewpoint of their speech usage by the material of DWDS-Corpus (Digital Dictionary of the German Language by Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities). The author ascertains the hierarchy of phatic and etiquette phrasemes taking into account their corpus frequency, reveals differences in the frequency of using phatic and etiquette phrasemes in different speech styles, identifies interrelation of the level of frequency, degree of idiomaticity and thematic affiliation of communicative phrasemes.
