Specificity of Taxis Relations in the Russian and Chinese Languages

Abstract. The article reveals specificity of taxis relations in the Russian and Chinese languages. Absence of the Chinese term analogous to the Russian term "taxis" complicates the process of communication and the Russian language acquisition for the native speakers of Chinese. The paper focuses on analysing taxis as a temporal unit. The research objective involves a comparative analysis of the linguistic means expressing taxis relations in the Russian and Chinese languages. Originality of the study lies in identifying similarities and differences in the usage of the linguistic means expressing taxis relations in the two languages. The research material includes the Russian and Chinese newspaper texts.
