Abstract. The purpose of the research is to identify the most striking, significant features in the language system of the Tatar and English languages, their causes and origins. The paper reveals the correlation between language phenomena and native speakers’ ancient worldview. In turn, language is defined as a source of information on these perceptions. The research is novel in that it approaches the study of significant linguistic features of the English and Tatar languages as a fact of historical conditionality. As a result, the author has determined that the dissimilarities in the language systems of the differently structured English and Tatar languages are associated with peoples’ ancient worldview that left its mark on language formation.
