Historical and Pedagogical Analysis of Choreographic Education Development at Higher Education Institutions of Culture: Stages and Tendencies (by the Example of Perm State Institute of Culture)

Abstract. The paper provides a historical and pedagogical analysis of choreographic education development at higher education institutions of culture. The article describes the basic stages of choreographic education formation by the example of Perm State Institute of Culture. Scientific originality of the study lies in the fact that the author examines the history of Perm State Institute of Culture and traces transformation of its educational purposes, dynamics of educational activity, considers changes in nomenclature of specialities and training areas, staff dynamics. The conclusion is made that studying the history of choreographic education at higher education institutions of culture helps to identify the factors influencing the quality of future teachers-choreographers’ training under the conditions of introducing new educational and professional standards.
