Specificity of Foreign-Language Training of Postgraduate Military Students at Higher Education Institutions of the Ministry of the Interior of the Russian Federation (by the Example of Tyumen Advanced Training Institute of the Ministry of the Interior of the Russian Federation)

Abstract. The research objectives are as follows: to identify specificity of foreign-language training of distant postgraduate military students at higher education institutions of the Ministry of the Interior of the Russian Federation, to justify necessity to take into account this specificity in terms of organization and content of education. The article considers peculiarities of foreign-language training of distant postgraduate military students at higher education institutions of the Ministry of the Interior of the Russian Federation. The author summarizes experience of organizing foreign-language training of postgraduate military students at Tyumen Advanced Training Institute of the Ministry of the Interior of the Russian Federation. Relying on theoretical analysis and practical experience of teaching a foreign language to postgraduate military students, the researcher proposes a methodological conception of the educational-methodological complex "Foreign Language (English)" as a component of an educational program of higher education. Scientific originality of the study lies in the fact that relying on the conducted analysis, the author introduces recommendations on foreign-language training of postgraduate military students at higher education institutions of the Ministry of the Interior of the Russian Federation. As a result, it is shown that specificity of foreign-language training of postgraduate military students at higher education institutions of the Ministry of the Interior of the Russian Federation lies in the following: the category of students, learning goals and objectives, interdisciplinary integration, scientific-methodological and consulting support of postgraduate military students at all the stages of preparation for a PhD exam in a foreign language, a special emphasis on organizational and methodological aspects of education.
