Abstract. The research aims to analyse speech-language therapy in cases of severe aphasia with the use of a multimedia programme application. The article presents an analysis and summarisation of the results of a theoretical and experimental study on speech disorders features in patients with severe aphasia at the restorative and residual stages of rehabilitation and provides information on how the "AFAZIYAM.NET" (‘no to aphasias’) tablet application can be used at these stages of rehabilitation. The research is novel in that it is the first to present a specialised multimedia tool for conducting sessions with patients with aphasia that aims to improve the comprehension of the Russian speech and makes it possible to activate the auditory-visual-motor zones that are important for speech activity. As a result of the qualitative and quantitative analysis of speech disorders features in patients with severe aphasia at the restorative and residual stages of rehabilitation, the researcher has proposed a multimedia programme involving the use of the "AFAZIYAM.NET" application, which is available in the conditions where a remote rehabilitation technology is included, stimulating the patient’s independent work and helping to replace technologies used at hospital.
