Pedagogical Techniques for Metadisciplinary Results Formation in Eighth-Grade Students in Social Studies Lessons: A Theoretical Analysis

Abstract. The research aims to identify the conditions for the use of modern pedagogical techniques for metadisciplinary results formation in eighth-grade students in social studies lessons. The paper gives a general description of the concept of metadisciplinarity. The authors highlight the main requirements for the process of metadisciplinary results formation in students based on the Federal State Education Standard of Basic General Education. The practical experience of metadisciplinary results formation in eighth-grade students in social studies lessons is described. Scientific novelty of the research lies in determining the conditions in which the application of pedagogical techniques for metadisciplinary results formation in students in social studies lessons is effective. As a result of the analysis, it has been found that the use of various pedagogical techniques for the formation of students’ metadisciplinary results is more effective if certain conditions are met. These conditions are as follows: students’ educational activities on the acquisition of metadisciplinary concepts should be aimed at "doubling" the content of education; it is important to establish subject-subject relations between the teacher and the student; it is necessary to ensure students’ awareness of activities when achieving metadisciplinary results and to organise students’ reflection on their own learning activities.
