A Model of Design Activities for a Foreign Language Course in Modern Tertiary Education

Abstract. The study aims to systematise the models of design activities existing in pedagogical scientific knowledge. The paper determines the relationship between the notions of “pedagogical design”, “construction”, “instructional design”, sheds light on the types of design for language courses in modern Russian linguodidactics. Scientific novelty of the study consists in developing the author’s own model of design activities for a foreign language course in tertiary education. As a result, the role of pedagogical design for a tertiary education teacher and foreign language students has been determined.
